About Fractional CMO, Seth Gray

Why work with a fractional CMO who actually builds the engine?

You don’t need more noise. You need a system that compounds.

As a Fractional CMO, I work with founders and CEOs who’ve already built something real. But you know that what got you here won’t get you to what’s next.

Maybe growth has slowed.

Maybe your team is heads-down on execution with no one able to focus on the long-term.

Maybe marketing just isn’t pulling its weight, and you’re tired of chasing tactics that burn budget but don’t build momentum.

That’s where I come in.

What I believe:

  • Real growth isn’t a viral spike. It’s brand and performance working together.
  • Marketing should compound, not decay.
  • Strategy is useless without someone to execute it.

Where I’ve done it:

  • At Abercrombie & Fitch, we drove double-digit organic growth by realigning digital strategy.
  • At Victoria’s Secret, we doubled campaign performance and sold out lagging product lines.
  • For Abbott Nutrition, we increased brand preference in a saturated market.
  • At Paradise Mobile, I built the brand from zero and led go-to-market strategy to scale a new MNO into the millions.
  • I’ve also worked with Safelite, Raising Cane’s, AllVoices, and BrewDog—tying brand, growth, and business outcomes together.

How I work:

Ask the right questions.
Find the leverage points.
Build a clear, actionable strategy.
Then make sure it actually gets done.

If you’re looking for a Fractional CMO who blends hands-on execution with sharp strategic thinking—let’s talk.

But enough about marketing for a second…

I’m a musician at heart.

Yeah. That's 19-year-old me with dreadlocks.

Before marketing, my stage was literally a stage: I played on the Warped Tour with my brothers. We were called Underhero, and you might still find our music floating around out there somewhere.

Then in the honky-tonks of the Texas Hill Country. Writing & singing songs, learning what makes people pay attention. Feel something. And remember.

Turns out, great marketing isn’t all that different.

Singer-songwriter now.

Two wheels on the open road is where I think best.

When not growing brands, I’m probably riding motorcycles absurdly long distances (Iron Butt club. Look it up).

I’m also an expert leather craftsman.

Crafting heirloom-quality handmade leather goods and protest merch as Beauty and the Biker.

And a brisket afficionado.

Or smoking the best Texas-style brisket north of the Red River. Salt, pepper, smoke, and patience. It’s ready when it’s ready, then serve it to people who deserve it.

(You’re invited)

Whether it’s building a brand, mapping a go-to-market strategy, or finding clarity on two wheels, I’m always looking for the signal in the noise.

If you’re ready for marketing that actually grows, let’s talk.
